Description
JointHealing.Com is a privately held company that was founded by two subspecialty-trained orthopedic surgeons, Edward Loneiwski, DO and Laith Farjo, MD, for the purpose of providing reliable information about the treatment of various bone and joint disorders on-line. In addition, we strive to provide the public with access to products to help treat these problems that are of the highest quality and that may be otherwise difficult to obtain. Drs Loniewski and Farjo are both currently orthopedic surgeons in Southeast Michigan with busy clinical and surgical practices.
Dr. Laith Farjo went to the University of Michigan for his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School with Distinction in Research and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He trained at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco for his general surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency. He then performed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia with several world-renowned surgeons. As part of this experience, he was an Assistant Team Physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His current practice focuses on the treatment of all athletic injuries, especially disorders of the shoulder and knee. He lectures locally and nationally on a variety of orthopedic topics.
Dr. Edward Loniewski went to the "Only University in Michigan," Michigan State University (MSU) for his undergraduate degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. He worked in the hospitality industry as a manager for some of the better known restaurants in Chicago and was part of the first management team for Morton's of Chicago. He than decided to expand his understanding of the service industry by enrolling in medical school at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. There he founded many philanthropic organizations and ran an educational foundation in his spare time. He was awarded several awards before graduating including the Ciba-Geigy Community Service Award and was elected by his peers to address his own graduating class. He completed his internship and residency at Botsford Hospital in Michigan where he served as chief intern and received the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award and the Andrew Taylor Still Outstanding Research Award.
