John Kotre is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan--Dearborn. He has published seven books on life-historical subjects and created the award-winning public television and radio series Seasons of Life.
A former Jesuit seminarian, Kotre received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Chicago. He and his wife Kathy have a "blended" family of five adult children and six grandchildren, all boys.
