Over the years we've realized that critics and your average Joe don't usually agree on what's a good movie and what isn't. Why is that? The answer is simple; critics are looking for how artistic and exceptional a movie is while the rest of us are simply looking to be entertained.
What if there was a critic looking for the same thing you are, a good time. Well there is! Joe Critic.com was created so that average people could look for reviews written by a critic who is just an average Joe himself. At Joe Critic, we look for pure entertainment quality, the rest (acting, directing, cinematography, being artistic, complete originality, etc.) are just an added bonus. Granted, we all don't agree on what's enjoyable, but anyone who's reading a review about a slapstick comedy is probably interested in the genre, so that's who we target.
Our reviews all include a number of stars out of ten. Ten stars signify the best entertainment value, zero signifies the worst. We also include "The Bottom Line" which is a summary of the review and either a thumbs up (worth seeing), thumbs down (not worth seeing) or sometimes both (it was mediocre).
