6th Junior Mathematical Congress
Description
The 6th Junior Mathematical Congress - JMC-04 is aimed at students aged 15 through 25 years, with an emphasis on those in the range 15 through 20 years old. During one week in Stockholm, the visiting students from all over Europe will be attending seminars and lectures given mainly by the participants themselves, and to a minor part also by invited guests.
The participants will be lodged at a hostel in central Stockholm, beautifully located at the waterhead with a view over the Royal castle and the Old town. Congress activities will take place in the lecture halls and computer labs of Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology. Every day, two congress sessions and one social event will take place, except for midsummers eve, which is designated to celebrations aimed at presenting a traditional swedish midsummer to our foreign guests.
The participation fees are projected to match the fees of earlier congresses, at about USD 150. Extensive possibilities for funding assistance, either for the congress fee, or for the travel to/from Stockholm will also be provided for -- more information about applications will appear later on this webpage.
