Came to Christ at age 17 during the Jesus movement. While in pursuit of a professional music career, answered God's call to reach young people. Jim began working in local churches in 1975 as a pastor's helper. In 1978, Jim's ministry focus

turned toward children and families in the church. He has served as a children's pastor in four different churches. Creator and innovator of many products and resources for children's ministry including: "Puppet Trax". In January 1986 the International Network of Children's Pastors awarded Jim the Excellence In Children's Ministry Award. In March of 2001, Children's Ministry Magazine named Jim one of ten pioneers of the decade in Children's Ministry. In 1983, while Jim was still working in a local church, Jim Wideman Ministries was born to help, and train children's ministers (through seminars, conferences, and quality ministry products) and establish strong ministries across the U.S and around the world. In 1990, Jim joined the staff of Willie George Ministries and Church On The Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he still serves. In 1995, Jim started The Children's Minister's Leadership Club, a monthly leadership and children's ministry administration resource.

Present:

Serves under his pastor and mentor Willie George, senior pastor of 15,000 member Church On The Move in Tulsa, Ok. Jim oversees one of America's largest local church children's ministries, reaching more than 4,000 children weekly. Presently Jim has Authored 3 books, 2 on children's ministry and 1 on parenting. Besides Hosting the children's ministry leadership club each month, he also serves as a personal leadership coach and mentor to leaders from a various backgrounds and ministry positions.
