Jim Thorpe Signs is owned and operated by Jim Thorpe, a professional sign carver for over 15 years. Jim has been creating exquisitely carved signs for businesses, individuals, and sign shops since his youth in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in wood design in 1984 from the New York State University at New Paltz. His career includes a history of creating sculpture and fine furniture. He has worked extensively in the scenic arts, making sets, sculpture, and props for opera houses, regional theaters, and Broadway productions.
