After nearly a 2 year hiatus, publishing of Banzai magazine resumed in July of 1997. Kilroy published Banzai magazine sporadically until the Fall of 2001. Banzaimagazine.net has been online since 2002. In it's hey day Banzai magazine covered the Kansas City rock music scene. The purpose of the Banzai website is to promote some of the events produced by Jim Kilroy including: Club wars, Winterfest, KC Rock & Metal fest, The Westport Meltdown, Elvis Birthday Bash at the Grand Emporium and the Banzai Awards Show.
