- JEFFMERLET.COM is the web site of Jeff Merlet. His background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science on object oriented design method, multimedia database design and dynamic hypermedia, coupled with data warehouse, two-tier Oracle-based client/server, and multi-tier Java-based applications development experiences. He publishes some basic, but useful, JavaScript code. All the JavaScript examples are grouped under the main JavaScript objects. A big part of this site is focused to his PhD's research, and to his R&D about Internet technologies (XML, HTML, Java, IIOP, etc.) and Object Web, i.e. Distributed Objects and the Web (DOW) based upon Java technologies (RMI, IDL, JDBC, JNI, JFC, etc.). Both concerns Information Systems: object oriented design method, multimedia database modeling, dynamic hypermedia, training system, client/server architectures, and Web technologies.
