In 1958, Robert R. Jacquart began making bank deposit bags in his home basement. In 1965 he moved his company, Jacquart Manufacturing, into his dad's vacant grocery store. Robert R. hired one employee and continued to work his full time job as a fireman for the City of Ironwood. In 1970 Robert R. was joined by his son, Bob, who managed and in 1983, purchased Jacquart Manufacturing and changed the name to Jacquart Fabric Products.
