- Innovative Transportation Services, Inc. (ITS) was founded in 1982 by Nelson Johnson. Nelson's main objective for the company was to furnish Squeezer customers with trailer parts. Within a year's time, Nelson relocated ITS from its humble origin of his home's garage to a small shop on Baxter-Harris Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. During this time, fellow former Strick employees Al Lechette, Jack Frye, and Brice Benton joined the ITS team. Shortly thereafter, the company successfully expanded its operations from not only selling Squeezer trailer parts, but also repairing and building the trailers themselves. In April 1998, ITS relocated to its present address on Northpointe Industrial Blvd. We are very proud of the accomplishments ITS has made from Nelson's residential garage to the four-bay shop from which we now operate.
