Description
Tommy has 38 years experience as a technologist for a large international chemical company. During that time his focus was mainly in power, utilities, and support services. He is considered an expert in steam systems, condensate systems, refrigeration and chilled water systems, cooling tower systems, compressed air systems, and cooling water systems. He has provided technical support to many of the company’s international locations. Due to his extensive knowledge, he has been heavily involved in preparation of company engineering standards and major equipment specifications. In addition, Tommy has been a presenter in numerous technical conferences and has received awards both from within his company as well as from the American Chemistry Council for energy savings projects.
Tommy's passion for energy conservation began in 1968 when he was given the responsibility for developing a plant-wide utilities distribution monitoring and costing system. The end result of this assignment was the creation of the site’s Efficiency and Reliability Test Group. Over the course of his career, Tommy has served as company representative on numerous multi-million dollar projects, many of which were focused on energy conservation.
Decades of energy work in industry convinced Tommy that numerous opportunities for efficiency improvement exist in most businesses. He saw the need for an impartial, experience-based company, which would be comprised of persons of integrity. This company would assist governmental, heavy commercial, and industrial energy users achieve real savings with minimal capital investment.
