About Us
At Ironwood Forge, we work with individual clients, designers, and architects to create unique art furniture, architectural metalwork and sculpture. At our studio outside Washington, D.C., we employ a range of techniques to shape our materials, from the ancient art of hand-forging hot iron to modern welding and finishing processes. In iron, bronze, copper, and glass we bring visions to life with an eye toward bold forms and inviting textures. Artists
Chris Shea has been a partner in Ironwood Forge since 1999. He studied metalsmithing at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Tennessee, and has taught at Montgomery College and Snow Farm Craft School in Massachusetts. Chris's work has been exhibited throughout the country and appears in many private collections. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and spent five years as Outreach Coordinator for The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC.
Randy Sena has been a partner with Ironwood Forge since 1998. He is a Poet, untrained artist, and a retired member of the United States Air Force. He adds his unique experiences to the studio and is a jack of all trades within the forge. The majority of his work is exhibited in the private collections of clients and close friends.
