The Irish Dancing Directory was founded in July of 2004 by Shona Killoughery. Shona Killoughery has been an Irish Dancer from the young age of 6. She dances with the Aaron Crosbie Academy in London and has won many Titles & Championships during her competitive years. She joined the cast of Lord of the Dance in 1997 and performed worldwide with the show for more than 3 years. There she met her soon to be husband, Brendan McKenney. In 2001, Shona & Brendan got married and move to California. Shona started an Internet Marketing company which has become very successfully with offices in both California & London. Her clients include large corporate companies in the US as well as small sole proprietors in the UK.
With the increased popularity in Irish Dancing due to the success of shows like Riverdance & Lord of the Dance, Shona saw that there was a need for people to find teachers & schools on the internet. With her background in Internet marketing, Shona designed & created a site for this purpose - www.IrishDancingDirectory.com.
