Description
Paul & Andrea are a husband and wife team, who enjoy general birding, twitching, bird finding and the challenge of bird identification but our main interest is digital - photography. They travel throughout Ireland sometimes at the drop of a hat to see birds always with a possibility of a digital shot in mind. Not only do they bird in Ireland but travel extensively abroad mainly the Western Palearctic, North America and the Middle East. They have the field experience of birding for over two decades and Andrea is currently the highest female lister and most active female birder in Ireland, Paul is also in the top ten listers and is active in the field most days. The aim of this website is to share their memorable birding moments via digital images and hope you enjoy this site and would welcome your comments.
Our camera's of choice is the Nikon Coolpix 4500 in conjunction with the Leica APO scope 77mm along with the 32WW, fixed eyepiece's and the zoom 20 x 60 and Nikon D70 with AF VR zoom ED 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D. The latter is the latest addition to our accessories. The Spider Tech which we recommend for faster adapting and for use of the zoom while connected to the eyepiece. Andrea's preferred spotting scope is the Swarovski ATS 65 in conjunction with the Coolpix 4500.
