James Peter “JP” Gillum is the founder of INFO-X Systems Consultants, LLC and a data management specialist with a passion for data architecture, data governance, and data stewardship. His extensive expertise in data warehouse technologies and business strategies is sought by established companies and venturing entrepreneurs in order to manage their data with the best and latest tools and technologies.

For over 25 years, JP Gillum has helped businesses manage and refine their Data Warehouses through enterprise architecture design, data modeling, data stewardship, and data governance. He has developed and implemented several data warehouses from the ground floor, including data gathering requirements, project scope and management, data governance and quality requirements.

Mr. Gillum has extensive experience with the IBM BDW application gained while assisting the initial implementation of EDW upgrades. This process consisted of four phases of upgrades of EDW with additional source systems thereby making the EDW the system of record. Furthermore, he has hands-on knowledge of relational databases, particularly, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and MS Access; as well as the OLAP tool Business Objects. His expertise in evaluating and implementing ETL concepts and third-party tools such as IWay Data Integrator's ETL tool, Informatica, and Ascential Data Stage have provided business clients with the technology they require for today’s computing systems. Additionally, he strives to ensure that organizations meet key service indicators and key performance indicators through initial implementations and upgrades of their database knowledge systems.

Educational and Professional Training

James Peter Gillum holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in Computer Science from Kent State University, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Information Systems.

In June 2008, he enrolled in a PhD program in Applied Management and Decision Science (AMDS) with a specialization in Knowledge Management from Walden University.

He is a member of the Data Management Association (DAMA), and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
