Description
InfoClearinghouse.com was founded by Gilberto Urroz and Karl Nieman to provide a platform for authors of technical information to distribute their work. It is designed to be a useful service for both authors and information users allowing the low cost distribution of quality information.
Gilberto E. Urroz is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a researcher at the Utah Water Research Laboratory, both at Utah State University, in Logan, Utah. He has been a teacher of engineering disciplines for more than 15 years both in his native Nicaragua and in the United States. His teaching experience includes courses on introductory physics, engineering mechanics, probability and statistics for engineers, computer programming, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, and numerical methods. His research interests include mathematical and numerical modeling of fluid systems, hydraulic structures, and erosion control applications. Dr. Urroz is an expert on the HP 48 G and HP 49 G series calculator, and on specialized mathematical software such as Maple and SCILAB. He has written several books on applications of these computing devices and software to disciplines such as engineering mechanics, hydraulics, and science and engineering mathematics. Karl Nieman holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University. His graduate research focused on bioremediation and the fate of recalcitrant organic contaminants in environmental systems. Mr. Nieman enjoys finding what he is looking for on the internet without wasting the entire day. He is currently employed by Select Engineering Services in Ogden, Utah.
