ARA Content started as an idea for a way to reach editors more efficiently and effectively through the Internet. Ted Yoch, CEO of Environmental Graphics, often mailed feature articles and color slides to editors to promote his wall mural business. In 1996, Mr. Yoch came up with the idea that distributing articles and images online would be much more efficient and cost-effective. Internet distribution proved so successful that Mr. Yoch started a new company to offer Internet distribution services to others.
For editors Internet distribution makes a great deal of sense because the text can be easily and quickly tailored to their publications. Photos can be scanned and everything quickly formats into their page layout programs.
