An important step in this regard is Image’s partnership with a leading environmental research institution, Texas Tech University (TTU). The on-going research by Dr. Hong-Chao Zhang, Ph.D., P.E. at the Center for Applied Research in Advanced Manufacturing at Texas Tech University is investigating new ways to introduce forward thinking in both engineering methodology as well as intellectual property technology to influence priorities regarding how new computer products and components are conceived to have a more environmental friendly impact on the earth at their end-of-life. An innovative roadmap is being identified that allows computer product manufacturers to plan ahead for minimizing environmental impact.
