A native of Pennsylvania, she attended National-Louis University in Evanston, Ill., and Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. She has a background in education and worked in that field for more than 30 years in positions ranging from teacher to director of development. Marti and her husband, Ed, have two children, Derek and Tricia, who both reside in Lincoln. Marti enjoys traveling, reading and cooking.
