We are based in the small rural village of Privett just south of Alton in Hampshire where we have been for 10 years. We have been specialising in quality period paneled doors and etched glass and stained glass doors since our foundation. We also have a wide and varied range of door furniture and fittings including original rim locks, Suffolk latches, original and quality reproduction door knobs and letterboxes.Our aim is to provide you with a product that you not only love, but will last a lifetime. Now that you've got a good idea of what we do and can achieve, we're here to guide you through your order from start to finish. We can either supply just the door or using one of our experienced carpenters can install your door complete with locks, glazing and painting. We are always on hand should you have any questions throughout the process of your order.

==Additional Information==The Period Door & Glass Company are proud to offer our exclusive range of solid pitch pine stained glass front doors. We believe our pitch pine stained glass front doors and interior doors are the best you will find for sale anywhere in the UK. The stained glass panels are made using traditional methods. We use hand floated glass that includes all the irregularities and bubbles of antique Victorian glass. We also include hand spun rondels and brilliant cut glass made using the same methods as Victorian glass makers.We have copied an original antique Victorian door incorporating the Victorian sense of proportion, such as the wide mid, bottom and side rails, lacking in mass produced tropical hardwood doors. Our doors are made in the traditional way using strong mortise and tenon joints. Pitch pine is an excellent timber for exterior use and has been used in shipbuilding for centuries, notably on the hulls of Scottish fishing boats, so will definitely stand up to the weather. They can be painted or may be oiled for a more contemporary look complete with chrome fittings.
In addition to our reproduction doors, we have a varied stock of reclaimed Victorian and Edwardian stripped pine internal and external doors.
