This booklet is not a legal document or a complete listing of the current hunting regulations. The hunting maps are not legal documents but are included for reference to give a general outline of hunting areas in the Northwest Territories.
The Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development has various booklets and videos you may find useful while visiting the NWT, such as Safety in Bear and Grizzly Bear Country, A Field Guide to Common Wildlife Diseases in the NWT and Nunavut, and Wildlife Sketches about various wildlife species.
Please be advised that during the hunting season, Renewable Resource Officers will be inspecting hunters for compliance with hunting regulations at check points, border crossings, and in hunting areas through out the NWT.
