- NetAid (www.netaid.org ) is an independent, non-profit organization based in New York. NetAid was launched with a concert held simultaneously in October, 1999 in Geneva, London and New York. The concert was broadcast over radio, television and the Internet, with major support from Cisco Systems. Today, NetAid educates, inspires and empowers young people to take action against global poverty. Using technological innovation, peer-to-peer education, and leadership training, NetAid provides the knowledge, perspectives, and skills to create a new generation of informed global leaders. Its goal is to expand, year after year, the number of young people who demonstrate, through their own actions and words, that ending poverty must be a social and political priority.
