How to leave a talk page message script
Hi and welcome to AboutUs.
So you probably have an account by now and are wondering how to communicate with other people on the wiki.
People to people communication on AboutUs is done mostly by leaving written messages on the talk page of a person. A person's talk page is just like any other page on the wiki. It is open for all to see and edit.
Lets say you want to write to Kasey, an AboutUs staff and community member.
You can do that by visiting her Personal Page. User:Kasey
Click the talk page button from the menu on the top.
Here you will see all the messages that have been left for Kasey by other members.
Click the add comment button to add a new comment to Kasey's talk page.
Give your message a subject then write your message. You may also want to sign your comment so that Kasey knows how to reach back to you.
You can sign your comment by typing four tildes (~) at the end of your message.
Click save and thats that.
Although having an account is not required to leave someone a talk page message, but it helps ease communication when you come across as yourself, using your real name, with your own account and not as an anonymous IP. See Why_login screencast to see the benefits of logging in.
