Hi there & welcome to 'House on the Corner', a family run cardmaking & scrapbooking business based in Burnley, Lancashire in the UK. The company is owned by ourselves, Lorna & Mike Winstanley. We live in Bacup, Lancashire with our two children Alex & Vanessa. We started the business 3 years ago by opening a small shop in Bacup. The business soon outgrew the small shop and we opened a second outlet in Helmshore, Rossendale.
Although business was steady we soon realised that in order to satisfy customer needs and to give the business a chance we needed to relocate. The opportunity arrived to open a store at Barden Mill in Burnley.
We took the decision to close our Bacup & Helmshore stores in order to concentrate completely on developing our new Burnley store into the best craft store in Lancashire! Thanks to fantastic support from customers we were well on the way to achieving our goal!
