The Hounds Of Abbeywood are loved and owned by John and Heather Girgan of Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada. We live on a prairie acreage with lots of room to train and exercise our dogs. Four lovely whippets , Smoke, Nmera, Whysper,and Mia make up our present canine family. We have participated in Agility, Conformation, and Lure Coursing with our whippets and enjoy spending hours training and playing with all the dogs.
We have been instructed and supported by some very knowledgeable people along the way. Thank you to Paulette Blinch, June Harrison, Maxine Moinier and many others who have become our friends and mentors in the wonderful hobby of dogs. The Abbeywood 2003 Litter of puppies was Nmera and Simon's. The Litter 2004 was Smoke and Robin's and we plan to breed one litter a year for awhile. We have been very careful to follow all the safeguards to make sure all Abbeywood whippets are of the best quality in health, temperament and conformation.
