- Houck Funeral Home was founded in Boyertown in the late 1800's by Harrison Houck. In the early 1900's, the Houcks bought out the Jeremiah Gilbert Funeral Home at Washington and Chestnut Streets in Pottstown. The business was continued by Herbert R. Houck and his son, Walter E. Houck. Following his service during World War II, Herbert F. Houck has continued the family funeral business in the community.
