- The Horsley String Ensemble is comprised of four brothers and a sister. The Horsley siblings are classically trained and perform as the guest youth ensemble at New England Chamber Music. The quintet brings a unique blend of harmony to the string ensemble with the addition of a bass to the classic string quartet. Concert masterpieces played by the Horsley Family feature the Baroque and the Classical periods with a sprinkling of the Renaissance and the Romantic eras. The vibrant repertoire from the popular classics to the rare extraordinary works of Handel, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Haydn, Pachelbel, Bembo, Boccherini, Marcello, Albinoni and other composers has an appeal for a wide audience. The Horsley String Ensemble is available to perform for events in the Boston and New England areas and will be on tour for periods of time in 2008. Proceeds and donations will provide musical instruments for the Horsley siblings.
