Hi! I am Lois Sealey and I started Home Base Holidays in 1985, combining the home exchange service with an annual guide to B & B in the USA & Canada (I am originally from Canada). The B & B guide has been set aside to concentrate on home exchange and I remain centrally involved in most day to day agency business and development. I work from my home based office in North London, rarely finding time for holidays at present! The First Home Exchange Alliance (FHEA)

The First Home Exchange Alliance is a business organisation founded in 1999 by established independent home exchange agencies which had already worked together co-operatively for over 10 years previously. Home Base Holidays is a founder member of FHEA.

FHEA agencies provide a wide selection of new, descriptive exchange offers throughout the year. Although we aim to provide a large range of up-to-date listings in several countries worldwide, the balance of listings between different countries is equally important to ensure members have the best chances of arranging the swaps they want.
