IAHMP's First Annual Conference was held on August 18-20, 1996 at the Fontainebleau Hilton Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida with the support of Hilton Hotels and American Airlines. In 1997 the conference was held at the Airport Hilton Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Since that time, IAHMP has held conferences at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico; the Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Melia Cancun Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico; and The Disney World Contemporary Resort, Orlando, Florida.
