Over the past year I've been told by more than one long term care facility that they want to learn about HipSaver Hip Protectors because they understood them to be the number one hip protector in Canada. Number one because it's a well tested hip protector. Number one because no matter which model is chosen, the designs are sensible for the caregiver and comfortable for the wearer. Number one because it's affordable. Number one is a great place to be and while it's relatively easy to get there when you have a great product, staying there is the challenge.
HipSaver has risen to that challenge as the company continues to grow and develop new models to answer the multitude of challenges that HipSaver wearers and their caregivers face. Last year's Open Bottom model has been hugely successful. I'll let you in on a Canadian secret... many staff members at facilities from one end of the country to the other have taken to referring to the Open Bottom as HipSaver Commando! HipSaver has never spent a lot of time finding sexy names or designing glitzy packaging, but they have always listened to the comments of end users, so whatever you want to call it, the Open Bottom has put smiles on the faces of many people who have found a sensible answer to hip protection that also helps them deal with the challenge of urge incontinence.
EZ Pull Handles were another small but clever addition to the line last year. These little fabric handles sewn into the sides of HipSavers help the wearer challenged with arthritic hands to remain just a little bit more independent.
