Hadleigh Firefighters operate on a Retained Crewing system, the 12 firefighters based at Hadleigh are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Hadleigh cover a vast area, including Elmsett, Nedging, Whatfield, Bildeston, Hitcham, Boxford, Edwardstone, Flowton, Aldham, Semer, A12 from Capel St Mary to East Bergholt, Raydon, Holton St Mary, Polstead, Higham, Layham and of course Hadleigh to name but a few.
Hadleigh's Crew is made up of 10 Strapping young fellows (which is open to debate), no women currently want to join us (can’t say I blame them, but if anyone sees this and is interested give Suffolk Fire Service a call on 01473 588888 and ask for an Application Pack, then feel free to pop down and see us @ Station on a Thursday night (DRILL NIGHT)!
