- Freelance photographer Henk Braam has travelled and photographed in India regularly in the past 20 years. Born in Broken Hill, Zambia. He studied at the Academy of Arts and started working as a photo editor for Amnesty International in 1993. In that same year he joined Dutch phot-agency Hollandse Hoogte which represents his work. The Amsterdam fund for the Arts awarded him with the starters' prize for photography in 1996, after judging his fotographs from India, Ruanda, Tibet and Nepal.
