A photographer for the past 20 years, I try to capture candid shots using available light. I travel a lot, I find strange things and I shoot them. I also have an knack for being in the wrong/right place at the right time. For those curious about the kit, I use a Canon 5d mark II, an 85 f/1.2, a 135 f/2, a 16-35 f/2.8 mark II, a 24-70 f/2.8, a 70-200 f/2.8 (no image stabilizing) and sometimes a 2x converter. Rarely, I will use my Speedlite 580 ex II with a bounce card from my LumiQuest ProMax kit, if fill light is mandatory. It all goes in a very buoyant Lowepro Dryzone Rover or a Think Tank Digital Holster 40 that wanders the earth with me as my Genie BGT-31 tracks my movements. But for the stealth shots, and the shots with the most amazing light, I use my Leica M9 titanium kit. To process the RAW data, I play with Geosetter, Lightroom, Capture One, DxO and/or Faststone to geotag, organize, render, de-noise and watermark (in that order) the images on a blazing fast dual processor, quad core, 27in iMac. When i want to print I use Smugmug of course, but now I have a Canon Pro9000 Mark II and use that for large prints. Hope you enjoy. alex. alex @ shah.com
