Born into this fine industry in Idar-Oberstein, europe´s gemstone capital, he has undertaken countless trips to Africa which to this day remains the world´s primary source for precious stones, including "Aquamarine, pink and green Tourmaline, Amethyst, Rhodolite, Tanzanite, Tsavorite, Sapphire, Iolite, Spinel, Emerald, Ruby and host of other species. Out of which has arisen his unique collection, "The colours of Africa". Hans-Dieter Haag offers a variety of over 100 different shapes, sizes and qualities including a lot of calibrated fancy shapes. Direct purchase from mines around the world and partly through exclusive supply contracts in some producing countries has enabled us to offer our products in a wide variety of shapes and sizes which is unique. Every precious stone cut by us is produced from our own rough stones. We are glad to produce stones according to individual customer requirements, availability of relevant rough stones permitting.
