Description
After completing a degree in fashion design, Hayley set up her own business in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Just three years after opening this shop, she won her first great accolade, by becoming Brides and Setting Up Home’s ‘New designer of the year’ in 1990.
Her latest achievement was to win the Brides and Setting Up Home ‘Classic Dress Design of 1999’ award, again at the British Bridal Awards. Then in the same month she received the first ever Certificate of Merit from Shrewsbury Town Centre Management for her ‘outstanding contribution towards Shrewsbury’s reputation as a centre of excellence’.
Hayley J gowns are best known for being individual with an historical inspiration, interpreted in a modern yet classic way. They incorporate simple detail either in a beautiful and unusual fabric, or by using a delicate embroidery design. Coats made in silks, velvets and brocades often feature in the collections.
