In 1968, Orthopedic Associates of Hawaii was formed with the joining of the practices of Dr. Albert Chun-Hoon, Dr. Alan Pavel and Dr. Lawrence Gordon. It was the goal of the Associates to provide highly specialized orthopedic and fracture care for the State of Hawaii. Dr. Chun-Hoon was the youngest son of the famous Chun-Hoon family, he attended Oberlin College after completing Iolani School where he not only excelled academically but also won the 100 yard dash as a senior.
