- Haleya Priest first studied Reiki in the early 90's. She studied with 3 sets of Reiki teachers over the course of many years. She began using Reiki in her private practice immediately and in 2004 began teaching Reiki with Mary Jo Schwie. In 2006, she and Mary Jo were called to their own paths. Haleya has since founded Pioneer Valley Reiki and continues to teach Reiki classes. She also uses Reiki extensively in her private practice and also uses Reiki in her work as a Hospice Chaplain.
