The collected eggs are hatched in the artificial mud-made scoop on the riverbank and produced fry are supplied in several regions of the country for aquaculture. The River Halda, the major source of genetically pure carp fish in the world, is likely to be included as a world heritage site if the biodiversity of the river can be well conserved.
