Description
We intend to explore fully the opportunities now available for rationalising the construction process by employing prefabricated or modular building techniques. Through these techniques we will aim to optimise efficiencies in the build process, resulting in lower costs and a reduction in overall environmental impact.
Halcyon has been established with the objective of providing a possible solution to the issue of affordable, first time buyer homes in central London. At present it is extremely difficult for anyone earning under say £45,000 per annum to be able to get onto the property ladder in areas of London in which they would want to live. In order to meet this objective and produce homes that are significantly cheaper than others in the market we intend to build standardised, compact units and develop sites very densely- the maximum proposed size for each unit is 35 square metres (c350 square feet).
The design of the flats, both internally and externally is key. The objective is to provide exceptionally well designed flats, which optimise use of available space whilst providing an attractive environment in which to live.
