Title
Hacking GPS
Description
This site was originally created to support my book "Hacking GPS" which was published by Wiley/Extreme Tech in April 2005. Since then I'm happy to say the site has gone from strength to strength, with a lot of favorable feedback and publicity. Please check out my blog GPS Notes while you're here and feel free to subscribe to the RSS feed.
Aims of the Site
The main aim of the site is to help you the GPS user to get the most out of your GPS receiver, with how to articles, equipment reviews, tips, tricks and hacks, as well as the latest GPS news and press releases.
About me
Hi! I'm Kathie Kingsley-Hughes. I've been writing technical books on IT, web development and programming for some years now. Hacking GPS was my first non-computing related book - although you'll find plenty about using your GPS with your PC in the book! It was really great to have the opportunity to write a how to book about GPS, which has been one of my main hobby passions for several years along with various other outdoor activities. Writing about hardware was such an exciting and liberating experience for me it lead me on to co-author Build the Ultimate Custom PC.
