Habitat for Humanity Brant is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International founded in 1976. We have now housed 1,000,000 people around the world. And we are currently building at a rate of 1 new home every 26 minutes.
There are active affiliates in 83 countries around the world, and over 200,000 homes have been built worldwide. Habitat came to Canada in 1985 and there are 65 affiliates throughout 10 Provinces.
Habitat Brant was incorporated in 1998 and we built our first home in the summer of 1999. We have to date - March 2006, built seven homes, our next build will be completed in 2006.
