In 1993, a group of Sikh sangat headed by Bhai Jaswant Singh decided to set up a Gurdwara Sahib for the Sikh community in Bandar Sunway. This dynamic group of youths managed to collect donation and built this Gurdwara Sahib in 1993 on a piece of land. Most of the youths who did voluntary service in the construction of the building are from India. A small Darbar Sahib was built within few weeks and the Holy Guru Granth Sahib, was respectfully placed therein.
