The concept for Guide Approved evolved from our Canadian fishing expeditions that left us far from civilization and wishing we had better equipment. The “Guide” in Guide Approved comes from our association with a group of professional guides who help screen and select products. Their expertise, suggestions for improvement, and field-testing are incorporated into the choice of gear being offered to you here on our website and in our catalogs. Our Guides do the gear testing and selection work for you.
I’d like to introduce you to our featured guide, Tom "Wizzie" Wisniewski, owner of Wizzie Tails, Lures & Guide Service. Wizzie has been a licensed guide for 17 years, specializing in the mighty musky. Wizzie has owned his own lure business for 15 years, is a seminar speaker, published author, pro-staff member, but is most proud of being a fishing educator. Being blessed with a wife and five daughters that fish and hunt gives Wizzie ample opportunity to enjoy Mother Nature. Being able to field test products for Guide Approved allows the Wizzie clan more time outdoors.
