- Josh Harrison was born on August 4, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up in the Fort Worth area. In 1964, his family moved to Austin, Texas where he graduated from Saint Stephen's Episcopal School in 1969. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973, Josh went on to obtain his M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin Graduate School of Business, in 1975. During this time he was a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserve, from which he was honorably discharged in 1975.
