The mission of the Golf Sports Medicine Organization (GSMO) is to combine the art and science of sports medicine with the skill and knowledge of the golf industry for the good of the golfer, for the love of the game. The benefits of sports medicine have long been available to touring professionals helping them to realize their athletic potential. GSMO believes that all golfers, regardless of ability, should have access to the same benefits provided by sports medicine professionals.
Through the collaboration and cooperation of the sports medicine profession and the golf industry, all who love golf will gain more enjoyment out of their game while optimizing the health benefits.
When golfers are physically and medically prepared to play, receive proper instruction, and play with properly fitted equipment; the health benefits and enjoyment of the game can then be achieved.
