- Years ago, before marriage and children, I became fascinated by the concept of a Goddess of Ten Thousand Names. Could I actually find 10000 different Goddess names? Were there really that many? Having been brought up in a good WASP family, I knew about Greek and Roman mythology, and realized that other cultures had myths as well. To discover their pantheons of Gods and Goddesses was a fascinating journey for me, but one that I turned away from for one reason or another, always with the intention to go back when I had a chance.
