Welcome to Harpo’s Sports Cafe. Harpo’s is the culmination of our travels to Chicago, Boston, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Myrtle Beach, Dallas, Toronto, Calgary, Houston, Baltimore, Columbus, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and places in between, to study what are regarded as the premier sports-themed food and beverage establishments in the country. We have taken the best ideas found in the course of our travels and tweaked them and merged them with a few improvements of our own to create Harpo’s Sports Cafe. Our goal was to create an atmosphere where you can enjoy quality food, generous portions, affordable prices, along with fast and friendly service, in unique, comfortable and fun surroundings. We want Harpo’s to feel like home to you so you will feel like a member of our family, not just a customer. And that’s how we want our employees to feel as well. Our operational philosophy is centered around our employees. If we are successful, it is because of our employees and their continued desire to be part of a team that takes pride in its product not only by working hard but by working smart. Harpo’s Sports Cafe, since its inception in 1988, has established itself as a landmark among northeast Ohio restaurants during the last 16 years. Among sports-themed restaurants, we are consistently rated by the public and the critics as one of the best! We have earned our favorable reputation based on quality food served with friendly and efficient service in an innovative, casual and fun atmosphere. Harpo’s Sports Cafe is Northeast Ohio’s first true sports-themed restaurant (there is a difference between “sports bar” and “sports-themed restaurant”). Our customers range from business people in suits and ties, softball teams coming in after their games, fans of all sports who know they’ll be able to watch their favorite team, to families of all ages as well as single guys--and girls! That’s right, members of the fairer sex find Harpo’s Sports Cafe is a comfortable place to meet their friends and enjoy good food and martini's without the hassles typical of a singles bar. Families with their kids, as well as “kids” of all ages enjoying the diversions found in our game room. We feature several billiard tables, air hockey, foosball, interactive video games including Golden Tee Golf, pinball and darts.
For true sports fans and sports junkies, Harpo’s offers a video “fix” unlike anywhere else in this part of the country. Unlike the typical establishment that hangs a few TVs and banners and calls itself a sports bar, Harpo’s Sports Cafe features a state-of-the-art video system comprised of dozens of live multiple satellite, cable and off-air feeds distributed to over eighty color TV monitors and at least six giant 10’ projection screens. This level of sophistication allows Harpo’s to pull in obscure games and events to satisfy just about anyone’s programming request—from archery to x-games and everything in between.
