- Ghiringhelli Specialty Foods was started by Mike Ghiringhelli and Ed Ferrero in 1987. We immediately began to develop and sell great tasting fresh food items, mostly private label, using the freshest and most natural ingredients available. In the beginning our customer base included natural food and specialty stores throughout California. Over the years we’ve expanded our product lines and customer base and now sell a variety of fresh and frozen foods to many of our nation’s largest retail supermarkets.
