You have probably heard of the huge internet empires built up in the late 20th century by companies like Amazon.com and Yahoo! Well, Geekboys isn't one of those. In the world of internet commerce, Geekboys is the insignificant proto-mammal among the lumbering dinosaurs.
Geekboys started in 1995 when Michael Boyte (click here for my fifteen nanoseconds of fame), an engineering technician in Washington state, printed up a few hundred pocket protectors and sold them on his family web-site. Today, we are still pretty small potatoes. Michael works as a web applications developer for a large aerospace company and continues to design and sell his pocket protector online for fun and profit. While we would love to grow large enough to quit the proverbial day job, the real goal right now is to serve our customers well and to have fun doing it. To that end, we do not employ marketing campaigns beyond word of mouth and Search engine submissions. We don't sell our customer's personal information to other companies and we aren't trying to hustle our customers for every penny we can get.
