Gear-Source, Inc. launched in October of 2002 by its President, Marcel Fairbairn. Prior to founding GearSource.com, Marcel served as a Director for Martin Professional's
office for many years, plus held VP roles with 2 other major Automated Lighting manufacturers. He has been in the moving light world almost since it's inception, and is widely known as an innovator and someone you can certainly trust with your business!
GearSource.com sells (predominently) used product in professional Stage Lighting, Pro Audio, Video and Staging. In some cases, we receive large "lots" of new inventory, but only on clear-out or discontinued items. Because most of our customers are "dealers" our goal is never to compete with dealers, therefore, we are not a "conventional" re-seller with standard product dealerships. This is by choice! While all of our competitors are competing for the same business you are, our goal is NOT to compete, but instead, to help increase your bottom line business. In creating GearSource.com, the company promised to "clean up" the sales of used gear. At the time, there were several sources for quality used gear, but none who offered e-commerce, proper warranties, dealer discounts and all of the other things important to the company because of its founder's history in the industry.
